Liftoff Lands on Forbes “America’s Best Startup Employers 2020” List
Liftoff landed number 21 on Forbes “America’s Best Startup Employers 2020” List. They evaluated each of the 2,500 organizations based on three criteria, 1) employer reputation, 2) employee satisfaction, and 3) employer reputation, employee satisfaction and growth.
Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the up-and-coming companies liked best by their employees in their inaugural ranking of America’s best startup employers. In doing the research, Forbes and Statista learned that the qualities people value most in employers are surprisingly similar between early-stage companies and more established firms. A clear mission, for example, is just as important at startups as it is for large companies.
Mission matters, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Growth opportunities are equally important, which might mean prioritizing internal promotions. Other perks noted in the research were an investment in learning and development and transparency, one of Litoff’s core values.
Methodology
To determine the list, Statista identified 2,500 American businesses that had been founded between 2010 and 2017 and employ at least 50 people. All companies considered had been started from scratch and not spun out of existing enterprises. Statista evaluated each organization based on three criteria, the first being employer reputation. The firm reviewed articles, blogs and social media posts pertaining to each employer, searching for specific phrases, such as “corporate culture” and “employee engagement.” Statista then assessed employee satisfaction, evaluating online reviews, as well as growth, examining the organizations’ website traffic and headcounts over a two-year period. The final list ranks the 500 employers that boast the best employer reputations, employee satisfaction and growth.
