Liftoff Ranks Across the Board on Mobile Performance Index

AppsFlyer has just released their H2 2016 Mobile Performance Index and Liftoff ranks well across the board. The Index ranks the top performing mobile ad networks and demand side platforms (DSPs) like Liftoff. If you market mobile apps, it’s a great guide offering the most comprehensive view on the quality and scale of mobile media sources per platform, vertical and throughout 7 regions across the globe.

The Index analyzed 6 Billion app installs across 22 Billion app sessions. The metrics used to compare mobile ad networks and DSPs include: retention scores, retention and power ranking, and install ranking.

Liftoff Breaks onto the Power Ranking Chart

We were pleased to be included in the last Mobile Performance Index by AppsFlyer where we ranked high for retention. We ranked #2 for iOS Non-Gaming apps in North America and #3 for iOS Gaming Apps in North America, but hadn’t quite broken into the Power Rank echelon.

However, this time around, Liftoff landed in the Power Ranking chart by hitting #13 on the Universal Index (cross-region, cross-platform, cross-category). We also scored #25 for install ranking and #13 on retention score ranking, 3 points above the median retention score.

To calculate the Power Rank, AppsFlyer normalized both the number of installs generated by each media source and its retention score, and then combined the two factors.

Liftoff Ranks in Gaming and Non-Gaming

The Index breaks down performance across gaming, non-gaming, platforms, and regions. In the  H2 2016 Mobile Performance Index, Liftoff ranked in both gaming and non-gaming categories, globally as well as in North America. Here are all categories and Liftoff power rankings for each:

  • Universal Index #13
  • Gaming Android Global #15
  • Gaming iOS Global #10
  • Gaming Android North America #13
  • Gaming iOS North America #15
  • Non-Gaming Android Global #13
  • Non-Gaming iOS Global #16
  • Non-Gaming Android North America #18
  • Non-Gaming iOS North America #13
